On SFDC Sessions for the week of April 13th, three of San Francisco’s leading interior designers– Suzanne Tucker, Kelly Hohla, and Catherine Kwong–provide their perspectives on the industry climate as we head into the fifth week of Shelter in Place. They share best practices for working virtually, showroom services, vendor support, and more.
- Maintain structure: Schedule a daily morning call with your team, perhaps splitting it up into senior and junior team members.
- Showrooms: Doing zoom walkthroughs, scheduling virtual presentations, sending out info on new products, processing orders, keeping designers updated on status of vendors, and even mailing out samples when they can get to the showroom.
- Presentations: Share materials ahead of time in Dropbox, send physical samples to clients, anticipate less attention span than in in-person meetings so focus on particular spaces.
- Makers: Your local small makers may need work, so check in with them, and vendors/artisans, be proactive checking in with designers.
