Job Summary:

The Showroom Consultant is primarily responsible for driving sales by delivering an engaging, informative and enjoyable experience for visitors of our new showroom at the San Francisco Design Center The Showroom Consultant must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proven background in luxury customer service and sales, and strong time management capabilities. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) non-exempt position and reports to the Executive Chef Showroom and Culinary Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • 1. Key Showroom Activities:
    • Assist in providing one-hour educational showroom tours and product demonstrations of our luxury kitchen appliances to visitors
    • Own the sales process including managing sales leads, scheduling appointments, educating visitors on product features/benefits, quoting prices, dealer referrals, visit follow-ups, tracking sales and closing the sales loop.
    • Maintaining a prisitine showroom and ensuring that all displays are safe and clean.
    • Support events including Supper Clubs, Dealer Trainings, and other educational/entertaining events as needed. Some events may be in the evenings.
    • Ensure knowledge on all products is current. Attend training meetings and educational classes as is authorized

    2. Inventory and Customer Service Experience Management:
    • Maintain updated procedures to facilitate exceptional customer service
    • Support event set up and attend select events to provide product educational support

    3. Data Management:
    • Data input and management of showroom visitor data
    o Collecting, recording, and reporting
    • Retrieve and manage accurate reports
    • Follow-up on consumer and trade leads through Manufacturer’s portal
    o Claim, forward or reassign leads as appropriate
    o Provide a weekly report with updates on new leads with a status update to the Showroom Manager and MCD
    • Manage pricing through Manufacturer’s portal: Make sure pricing is always up to date and accurate
    • Provide Qualified Sales Leads a product quote and a referral to a local dealership for purchase
    o Follow up with each consumer provided a quote within 30-days to learn status of lead
    o Work to convert leads into consumers with consistent, quality follow through
    • Manage Showroom Calendar

Requirements:

  • • Must have a high school degree or equivalent
    • 2+ years of luxury customer experience in retail or hospitality sales strongly preferred (proven record of excellent customer service skills)
    • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
    • Full-time position with a schedule of Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00am-5:00pm, on most weeks
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel necessary
