We are excited to announce our very own event App! Debuting with Design San Francisco 2011. MagToGo creates one mobile app, combining events and ongoing communications like magazines, newsletters, social media, and RSS feeds, thus providing us with an awesome mobile channel.
Their Touchpoint technology provides standard conference/event materials and a rich set of interactive tools to allow speakers and attendees to engage each other.
- App covers all conference logistics: maps showing locations of meetings, designers and the local area (including restaurant call-outs), schedules, speaker bios, designer information
- Speakers may use the app to survey their audience “in the moment” and directly provide you with notes or copies of their presentation instead of handouts.
Their focus is building “native” apps on multiple platforms which means no Internet connection is necessary to view the content once downloaded to the device. In addition to the native apps on iPhone, Blackberry, and Android (coming soon), the content is available to any smartphone with a browser via the web client which is included.
