ABOUT DINING BY DESIGN
Dining by Design brings together established talent, budding artists and celebrated individuals who create more than 50 three-dimensional dining installations to awe, inspire and delight. This year, Alia Meyer of Jessica Hall Associates and of the SFDC's Design Studio program will design the SFDC-sponsored table.

WEEK TWO PICTORIAL

Meyer at the Janus et Cie showroom contemplating her chair options in order to ensure both cohesion in her design and that the people attending the dinner will be sitting comfortably and in style.

While visiting the Barbara Beckman showroom, Meyer deliberates over slipcover fabric possibilities for her sofas.  The organic quality of “Mail” (fabric shown) will provide her Dining By Design space with an element of nature.

A moment of reflection for Meyer at Randolph & Hein.  Deciding on accent pieces, such as mirrors, can be just as critical to the overall design effect as the table itself.

By rolling out a stunning fabric option at The Silk Trading Co., Meyer and Corrine are able to better visualize the overall effect that the pattern might have on her Dining By Design space.
