Sandra Jordan Prima Alpaca is pleased to launch a new collection concept called Casa de Campo, which means “Country House” in Spanish. Capturing the romance of the Peruvian highlands and elegance of rural living, Casa de Campo offers designers unparalleled options for new textures, nuances and hues in sumptuous Prima Alpaca. With their quiet sophistication and contemporary design sensibility, the fabrics can be dressed up or down and fit easily into today’s informal yet luxurious lifestyles. This expansive collection includes six intriguing textures that range from soft, deep-piled weaves to tailored looks. The line also features five light-as-air patterned sheers, a beautiful jacquard throw in French Vanilla Prima Alpaca and silk as well as an extension of plush Prima Alpaca Suri in coordinating colorways.
For inspiration for her new collection, designer and company founder Sandra Jordan turned to fond memories of her childhood in Peru. “In the summer, friends often visited a ‘Casa de Campo,’” Sandra says. “It brings to mind getting together in a relaxed environment with laughter, long walks in the country and lazy lunches with family.” Translating this low-key elegance into her new designs, Sandra devised a natural palette of six new color ways that includes hues from the “caminos”—or “roads”— of the Andes: pale grey, reddish browns and warm earth tones. The simple yet stunning textiles, which employ a number of intriguing blends including Peruvian pima cotton, considered the world’s finest, and Merino wool, reflect the delight-filled atmosphere of time spent with friends and family. Casa de Campo expands Sandra Jordan Prima Alpaca already wide palette of designer offerings. “The creation of fine alpaca textiles in Peru was becoming a lost art,” Sandra says. “With the debut of Casa de Campo, we are paying homage to this fine tradition while at the same time addressing the needs of today’s luxury interiors.”
